Winterton Cemetery contains the burials of three service personnel.
Winterton Parish Council meeting - Monday 17th February 1941:
IMPERIAL WAR GRAVES COMMISSION
"The Cemetery Keeper also reported that Major Kinnear of The Imperial War Graves Commission had interviewed the Clerk and himself, and earnestly requested the Parish Council to set aside a plot of land in the Cemetery, for the duration of the war for the purpose of service burials, if required.
Resolved that the plot of land at the rear of the Chapel, and to the left hand side of the main path, be set aside for the duration of the war, for service burials."
